Tie a yellow ribbon round the old oak tree

LETRA DE LA CANCIÓN: ATA UNA CINTA AMARILLA AL VIEJO ROBLE (EN INGLÉS)

Tie a yellow ribbon ’round the old oak tree
por Irwin Levine and L. Russell Brown
I’m coming home, I’ve done my time
And I’ve got to know what is and isn’t mine
If you’ve received my letter tellin’ you I’d soon be free
Then you’ll know just what to do if you still want me
If you still want me.
Oh, tie a yellow ribbon ’round the old oak tree
It’s been three long years, do you still want me?
If I don’t see a ribbon ;round the old oak tree
I’ll stay on the bus, forget about us, put the blame on me
If I don’t see a yellow ribbon round the old oak tree.
Bus driver please, won’t you look for me
Oh, ’cause I couldn’t bear to see what I might see
You know, I’m really still in prison
And my love he holds the key
A simple yellow ribbon’s what I need to set me free
And I wrote and I told him please.
Honey tie a yellow ribbon ’round the old oak tree
It’s been three long years
And I want to know if you still want me?
If I don’t see a ribbon ’round the old oak tree
I’ll gonna stay on the bus
And forget about us, put the blame on me
If I don’t see a yellow ribbon round the old oak tree.
Now the whole bus is cheering and I can’t believe I see
A hundred yellow ribbons round the old oak tree…

Estoy regresando a casa,
he cumplido mi sentencia.
Ahora tengo que saber
lo que es mío y lo que no.
Si recibiste mi
carta diciéndote que pronto seré libre…
sabrás qué hacer,
si aún me quieres.
Si aún me quieres.
Ata una cinta amarilla
alrededor del viejo roble.
Han pasado tres largos años.
¿Aún me quieres?
¿Aún me quieres?
Si no veo la cinta
alrededor del viejo roble…
me quedaré en el ómnibus,
olvida lo nuestro.
Échame la culpa a mí…
si no veo la cinta amarilla
alrededor del viejo roble.
Ahora todo el ómnibus ovaciona…
y no puedo creer que veo…
cien cintas amarillas
alrededor del viejo roble.
